BACKSTORY
When I was 12 years old, I made a feature film with my friend Raphael von Blumenthal. “Can You Survive A Week In Paradise?” was a dark comedy about a reality TV producer who starts killing contestants to boost ratings. We carried on making short films and videos throughout our teenage years. Our comedy rap “We Drink Tea” went viral.
At university, we made a thing called “House Of The Rising Egos”. We made songs with our band “Salmon Jack”. We were interviewed in an abandoned mansion. For some reason, we hung a thousand origami birds in a tree. I made little vignettes, and directed music videos for “Emily and The Woods” and “The Joker and The Thief”.
After we graduated, Raph and I made our first ‘proper’ short films: “Middle Aged” and “Windscreenwiperman”. I worked in development at Ealing Studios and wrote my script “The Science Of Love”, which won the Nicholl Fellowship and was on the Brit List.
Since then, I’ve been working as a screenwriter and director in London. I made a trilogy of short films starring Amit Shah: Tall Dark and Handsome, The Orgy, and Big Ears. I’m developing an ambitious slate of new film and TV projects — coming soon.
